A Few New Additions

Hey!
I feel like it's been far too long since I have done a beauty related post. I am trying to save my money for holidays and college so I haven't been buying a lot of makeup. I also am trying to downsize my collection due to it being far too big for a girl who wears makeup for fun. Recently, I have picked up a couple of items and I thought I would share my thoughts on them.

Lacura Hot Cloth Cleanser

I remember the whole Irish blogging community went nuts for this when it originally hit the shelves in Aldi at the end of 2017 and unfortunately I didn't get my hands on it but now I do and I see why everyone was raving about it. I can't support the claims that it's a dupe for the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser as I have never tried it before but I will say it works well.

The only thing that took me by surprise was the scent, it's not bad like The Sanctuary one but it was unexpected, I think it could be the eucalyptus oil. I have been using it for the past month as apart of my nightly skincare routine. It's very creamy and removes the last of my stubborn makeup. For the price of €5, it is truly fabulous and it's also cruelty-free too which is another huge thumbs up for me.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette

My aunt from America bought this for me as a graduation present and I see why everyone online talks about it. The only thing I will say is buying anything from ABH in Europe is daylight robbery. It's €20 cheaper in the States. All the shadows within are amazingly pigmented and blend pretty easily. They are buttery but I notice that there's a lot of kickback when I dip my brush into the pan.
I like the packaging but I feel that it will get dirty quite quickly and another fear is it opening in a bag or when travelling but I will be putting an elastic band around it to prevent anything bad from happening.
I haven't tried out all the shadows from this palette yet but so far I'm really enjoying the oranges and trying out a few pinks. This palette works very well with the rest in my collection. I am sorry for my bad swatching, I realised after that I had put them the wrong way.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Toffee

Along with the eyeshadow palette, I got a sample size gloss. I wish normal lip products were this size as I feel I'd never go through a full sized one. I'm not a lip gloss or nude lip girl but I really like the shade and formula for this lipgloss. I have worn it on several occasions and it lasts several hours as long as I'm not eating.

Since it is a lip gloss, my hair does get stuck in it when it gets at all windy but that's only one small disadvantage. Overall I really like this shade and it is definitely unique to my collection.

Soltan Protect & Moisturise Face Cream SPF30

Since the weather in Ireland has been wonderful for the past few weeks and learning about the importance of wearing SPF30 every day, I realised that my other SPF wasn't up to scratch at all. I wanted something that didn't break the bank, is cruelty-free and has a high UVA rating and this one from the Boots own range suited me down to the ground, costing €5 with student discount.

I didn't realise how important it is to have a high UVA rating, though it doesn't protect you from burning, it protects against skin cancer and ageing. Some of the more expensive brands only have a good UVA rating.
I haven't been using this for very long, only a week so I can't sing it praises yet but I will say it is good. It doesn't leave your face greasy and it works well underneath makeup. It lacks the intense suncream smell which is a bonus.

Have you tried out any new products?

Thanks for being awesome,
