SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN

Here it is not only a Sunday morning but the last day of the year..I don't know whether to be depressed or happy..it has been a good year and I am happy for that but depressed that a good year is ending.

2006 started off with a bang..and I kid you not..I mean a BANG! See, I have some redneck neighbors who believe in bringing the New Year in with a salute from various firearms and us rednecks have a variety of firearms. It sounded like a small war zone..

Then the first week of January sweetthing and I made a jaunt up to CATFISH MANOR where I enjoyed meeting some bloggers including my blog momma, the delightful and nutty LIVEY, A GROUCHY OLD CRIPPLE, A quiet and some how subdued V MAN, THIS CRAZY WOMAN, and last but not least the late ACIDMAN. It was a most enjoyable trip for me except that sweetthing was in misery because of her back problems and spent most of the trip in the motel doped up because of the pain.

But it was a sad year in some ways also..my friend the acidman died. Blogging is not the same without him but life does go on and I reckon the blog world will also.

In July sweetthing had back surgery..it was a 100 percent success and gives us hope that 2007 will be even a better year for us. We hope to do some traveling that we had wanted to do but could not because of health problems..hers and mine. I managed to drop seventy pounds of blubber and although I am not holding up the corner of the gym I do feel like doing something other than setting around quaffing jumpstart all day and never really getting started doing anything.

I did some farming this last year and had one hell of a crop of tomatoes and pole beans and I am still eating Okra out of the freezer. Might try it again in 2007..especially the tomatoes.

We made a trip out to Bow and Arrow country in November. It was the first time out west in a couple of years to see the family and we enjoyed it.

I want to give my thanks to all of you who take a minute to read my words of shit and wit each day. It makes posting worth the effort. I consider each of you a friend and hope one day to meet all of you..although I just don't see a trip to ENGLAND or AFRICA in my budget right now..maybe if I can figure how to get the Red Ram to float and mount an outboard on it...

So, this will not be the last post of the year..I am too full of it to just stop with one..y'all come back now, heah?
